Pandemic is teaming up with Jemeena Bellydance in presenting this twisted and tangled bellydance dance party entitled…The Shattered Shaabi HaflaPandemic Dj Sound System spins a hybrid of contemporary and traditional folk and dance music from around the world. Down and dirty Bulgarian Chalga, Gypsy Beats, Indian Bhangra, Middle Eastern Dabke, Peruvian Chicha, Afro Colombian Cumbia, Afrobeats, Trinidadian Carnival, Brazilian Funk, and much more DRINKING DANCINC STOMPING AND YELLING…Tonight Pandemic has the pleaseure of working with live dancers in the mix. But come prepared to dance, because this isn’t a bellydance performance like you have ever experienced before. This one gets interactive. Dancers performing include…Jennifer Senn of Khafif, Carolina Loyola-Garcia, Maria Hamer, Joanna Abel, Olivia Kissel, Christine Andrews, Berna, Janim, Anjali Sol, and Jennifer Marino (of Jemeena Bellydance).We are gonna get down and dirty and dirty!!!(Because of the way the month started our 2 monthly parties are a week apart. We are trying to fix this little kink).

PANDEMIC and NEW SERIES WEATHER PERMITTING

Big things in the works for PANDEMIC this summer… First we have 2 resident nights at the brillobox…Every First Friday and Third Saturday. June will be a little weird because it’s June 7 and June 15. I know only one week apart, but not to worry we are collaborating with multiple groups of bellydancers to bring you an entertaining night (june 15).

WEATHER PERMITTING is…
Shadyside Nursery, Fukuda, and Pandemic (among others) teaming up to present a chilled out, relaxed, bring a blanket and some wine, nurse the hangover, bring the kids, weekly summer concert series entitled “Weather Permitting” every sunday at the Shadyside Nursery on corner of Maryland/ Ellsworth Ave (behind gas station next to Harris Grill).

“Weather Permitting” is a family friendly, all ages, outdoor concert event/party that will be ongoing from June 9 thru the rest of the summer. We are joining forces with hopes that this event series will attract a variety of bands, food vendors, and a diverse audience. While acts will be mostly acoustic in nature we have some big things in store including performances by Lungs Face Feet, Beagle Brothers, The Armadillos, The Pressure, The Harlan Twins, and more.
Every week different live bands, djs, bbq, food, drinks, etc..

We are pleased to announce the first in a series of 3rd Saturday Events @ BRILLOBOX. Here is the event page on Facebook Over the next few months, and who knows, maybe from now on PANDEMIC PRESENTS… will be on 1st Fridays and 3rd Saturdays. We are going to use the 3rd Saturdays as an opportunity to have more Guest DJ’s, MC’s, Live Bands, and even some Bellydance Hafla’s. Should be a great new addition. But not to worry we still have our regular FIRST FRIDAYS @ BRILLOBOX as part of the UNBLURRED.

Our sound is a raucous mutt channeling the common energy between traditional music from eastern Europe and the Balkans, punk rock, and free jazz.
